"Among Friends" is Don Gabbert's second CD. It contains fourteen songs that are all special to Don. A collection of Modern folk music produced with a respect for tradition. Produced by Don's youngest son, Lowell, (Who also played bass.) the tunes reach into the past and stretch toward the future. Whether it is the lovely original song, "Do I Know you Lassie" or the haunting rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" these songs are performed with a depth of feeling that has become the hallmark of Don's performances. Even the happy tunes like "The Old Piper" and "Patrick Was A Gentleman" convey the genuine excitement that was generated during the recording session. This is a CD created among friends and we hope that it will be heard by friends new and old everywhere.
