A note about "The Boys Of The Old Brigade". This song was written by a fellow named Pat McGuigan.
He was a member of the band "Barleycorn". This band predated Planxty and Mr Moore himself. A very influential
group of very good musicians. I have repeatedly seen this song credited as "Traditional". Implying that it was authored by
an unknown person. That isn't true and Mr McGuigan deserves the credit for a realy fine song. I have changed the arrangement
and tempo somewhat but the song is pure Paddy. I have been told that Paddy is still living somewhere in Ireland. If anybody
knows anything about him please email me with the info. A craftsman is worth his pay. God bless the Boys!

FOOTNOTE: "Saved but unredeemed" was a statement made by some Roman bishop about
the Irish Christians of the10th or 11th century(I think). After my little near death experience last summer I thought
it was appropriate.
